Meg Monahan graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She worked her way through college as a muralist and an illustrator for children’s text books. While attending college, she created her first large scale mural (8′ x70′) in a local restaurant.

More recently, Meg worked as a scenic artist for Sally Corporation, “The Great American Dark Ride Company”, www.sallycorp.com. She quickly moved into the art finish department where it was her responsibility to create illusions using silcone, paint, clay and even feathers to bring to life a variety of animatronic characters. Sally Corporation was a fast paced high production environment, requiring Meg to become adept at resolving problems with long term eye catching solutions.

Currently Meg is using her skills to create both commercial and residential murals. Meg recently completed a mural spanning 200 feet. The project was completed on canvas in her Jacksonville studio and installed like wallpaper on site. Meg prides herself on transforming any space into a destination.
